Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 24 October 2026
These terms apply when you use Taybl Discover (taybl.co.uk) (the "Site"), run by Lost Group Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, whose address is 3 Caxton Road, Preston, PR2 9ZZ ("Taybl", "we", "us"). Contact us at support@taybl.food.
By using the Site, or by creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. How we use your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
1. What Taybl Discover is
1.1 The Site helps you find restaurants, pubs and cafes, and, for venues that use Taybl, to book a table.
1.2 Taybl is not the restaurant. When you book through the Site you make your booking with the venue, using Taybl's booking system or the venue's own third-party booking system, which we link you to. The venue is responsible for the booking, the table, the food and drink, its own prices, deposits and cancellation rules, and for looking after the details you give it. Taybl does not provide the meal and is not a party to your booking.
1.3 Some venues on the Site do not use Taybl. For those, we show a page put together from public information and a link ("Book direct") to the venue's own website or booking page. Any booking you make there is with that venue under its own terms, and we have no control over that website.
2. Using the Site
2.1 You may use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial use. You must not:
- misuse the Site, for example by trying to disrupt it, bypass its security, or collect information from it in bulk by automated means;
- make a booking you do not intend to honour, or a booking using someone else's details without their permission;
- put anything unlawful, false or misleading into the Site; or
- use the Site in a way that harms Taybl, a venue or another person.
2.2 We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the Site at any time. We try to keep it available, but we cannot promise it will always be free of faults or interruptions.
3. Accounts
3.1 You do not need an account to search the Site. You can create a free Taybl account with your email address (we send you a one-time code) or with Google. You must be [16] or over.
3.2 Keep your email account and your devices secure, and do not share sign-in codes. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
3.3 You can see your details, change your choices, download your data and delete your account from your account page. If you delete your account, it is deleted 14 days later unless you change your mind by signing in. We may suspend or close an account that is used in breach of these terms or to harm others, and we will tell you why unless the law stops us.
4. Information on the Site
4.1 Venue pages for venues that use Taybl show what the venue has told us. Venue pages for other venues are put together from public information and, if the venue has claimed its page, what the venue has added. Opening times, menus, prices, facilities and offers can change without us knowing. Please check details with the venue before relying on them, especially if you have allergies, dietary needs or access needs.
4.2 Accessibility and dietary information is provided by the venue and has not been checked by Taybl. Do not rely on it as a guarantee, and tell the venue about any allergy when you book.
4.3 Availability shown for venues that use Taybl is the venue's availability when you look, and a booking is only confirmed when you receive confirmation. We do not show live availability for other venues.
4.4 Offers and Experiences shown on a venue page are the venue's own. The venue sets the terms, is responsible for honouring them, and may withdraw them in line with their terms. Taybl does not give the discount or provide the Experience.
4.5 "Featured" on a venue means it takes bookings through Taybl's booking system, which the venue pays Taybl for. Featured venues are listed before other venues in search results (nearest first within each group). "Featured" is not a recommendation or a rating. Listing on the Site is otherwise free for venues.
5. Bookings made through Taybl
5.1 A booking is confirmed when the venue (through Taybl's booking system) shows or emails you a confirmation. It is a booking with the venue.
5.2 Deposits, payments and cancellation or no-show charges are set by the venue and shown to you at the time you book. Payments are taken for the venue, by the venue's payment provider.
5.3 To change or cancel a booking, use the link in your confirmation, your account page, or contact the venue. Please give the venue as much notice as you can.
5.4 If something goes wrong with a booking, contact the venue first. If you need our help, contact us at support@taybl.food and we will try to help, but we cannot compel a venue to act.
6. Links to other websites
The Site links to venues' own websites and to other services (for example maps). We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or how they treat your data. Links open in a new tab or window and do not mean we endorse the site.
7. Our intellectual property
7.1 The Site, its design, text, software and the Taybl name and logo belong to us or our licensors. You may view and print pages for your own personal use. You may not copy, republish or sell any of it without our written permission.
7.2 Venue information, descriptions and photos belong to the venue or the person who took them. Venues give us permission to show them on the Site under the venue terms they accept when they add them.
8. Our responsibility to you
8.1 Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
8.2 Subject to that, we are not responsible for: anything a venue does or fails to do (including the food, the service, the booking, a cancellation, a charge or an offer); information on a venue's page, or on a website we link to, being out of date or wrong; losses that were not a foreseeable result of our breach; or any business, trade or profit losses, because the Site is for personal use.
8.3 Subject to 8.1, our total responsibility to you for anything connected with the Site is limited to £100.
9. Your data
How we collect and use personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. Cookies are explained there too, and you can change your analytics choice at any time using "Cookie settings" in the footer.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example to reflect changes to the Site or the law. If a change is significant we will tell account holders before it takes effect. If you keep using the Site after the change, you accept the updated terms. The date at the top shows when they were last updated.
11. Complaints and disputes
11.1 If you have a complaint about the Site, contact us at support@taybl.food and we will reply within 5 working days.
11.2 These terms, and any dispute about them or the Site, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction, except that if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring a claim in the courts there, and if you are a consumer you keep any right to use the courts of the part of the UK where you live.
